Install the WiFi Extender

  • Place the extender and you need to apply power then connect it to your WiFi network.
  • Place your extender within the same room as your WiFi router.
  • The WiFi router is mainly required only during the starting setup process.
  • Plug the extender into a wall socket.
  • The Power LED lights green. If the facility LED doesn’t light, press the Power button.
  • Connect to an Existing WiFi Network.
  • To extend the range of your WiFi network, you want to connect the extender

to your existing WiFi network. you’ll do that in one among two ways:

  • Connect with WPS.
  • Connect with browser setup.

Connect with WPS Wi-Fi Protected Setup

Now you can join a Network WiFi Signal without typing the network name and password. Note: WPS doesn’t support WEP network security. If you’re using WEP security, follow the instructions in Connect with browser Setup on-page.

  1. Need to press the WPS button on the side panel of the Netgear extender device. The WPS LED light blinks.
  2. Two minutes press the WPS button on your access point device. The WPS LED on the extender device lights solid green, the Router Link LED lights, and therefore the extender connects to your existing WiFi network. If the Router Link LED doesn’t light, try again.   3. Find the new extender network name. The extender’s wireless network name (SSID) changes to your existing WiFi network name, with _EXT at the top of the name, for example, Existing WiFi network name. MyNetworkName, New extended network name, MyNetworkName_EXT.
  4. Connect your router devices to the new extender network. Use an equivalent WiFi password that you simply use for your WiFi router.
  5. Unplug the extender and move it to a replacement location closer to the world with a poor WiFi signal.
  6. Plug the extender into a wall socket. The facility LED lights green. If the facility LED doesn’t light, press the facility button.
  7. Use the Router Link LED on the front panel to assist you to select a spot where the extender-to-router connection is perfect.

Connect with Web Browser Setup
